Martinez Vintage Port, 1927

Rich, sweet, stewed fruit and cinnamon. A little alcohol kicks in with baked meat juices, quince jelly and cassis. The palate is fresh and youthful, coffee, toffee mixed with blackcurrants and chocolate. A warm balance of leather, blueberry and milk chocolate. Perfect… nearly. 99pts (Jan 2009)
